As I previously promised here is my personal opinions on the recently released S.T.A…. What the hell, stalker.

Stalker Clear sky is a prequel to the first title, STALKER: Shadows of Chernobyl. Both games take place in a strange future ukraine where instead of killing everything, the destroyed reactor at chernobyl instead spews out strange waves that change the fabric of time and space and twist it everywhichway. This makes for some interesting gameplay, with the player constantly having to dodge dangerous anomalies and work out how to use the zone to his or her advantage.

You can’t actually change the sex of your character as that is an integral part of the story, another strange thing that perhaps should be noted is that not once does there appear a female character in the game. I seriously hope in this post apocalyptic world there are indeed females, otherwise I would like to reconsider walking through that odd looking white marsh a few miles back. o.O

STALKER Clear Sky, however, has some rather sad features that its predeccessor did not. Yes it has some beautiful graphics and I was in fact so amazed by the graphics that I took a good five minutes upon starting up the game to look at some of its beauty. It features some of the best HDR, lighting, shadows, mapping etc.. that I have ever seen in a game. Okay its not perfect but very little is. Added to that the performance level of it was good even at highest settings, so they got my hardware actually working.

About 14 hours ago now 7-8 coordinated attacks took place in Mumbai, one of India’s major cities. So far the death toll is around 100 but that is expected to rise. The attacks involved armed gunmen to assault 2, 5-star hotels, a train station, a hospital and a restaurant near the Taj Hotel (one of the targets). Hostages were taken and have recently been extracted from the Taj hotel but as yet there is no information on the other locations.

As you can probably see it has been quite a dramatic night with a lot of repeated blatherings of the same information and repeated 5 seconds of footage. Something that made me laugh however was the indian television coverage of the event which I was watching live via CNN. There were about 12 tv crews there flailing around and pushing eachother over, wrestling with massively oversized and out-of-date TV cameras all crowding around the survivors, draining the last bit of life out of them with repeated and outrageously stupid questions.

Your thoughts and comments on my dislike of the reporting methods and also on the situation in India are greatly appreciated.

As I am british I guess I should mention a senior british official was there and he reported that there were 7 british hostages taken who have been recovered and are recieving treatment for their injuries in hospital. He refused to comment on the gravity of their injuries.

The overall death toll is expected to rise and I personally guess it will be around 120-150. That is as long as there are no further attacks. Which hopefully there won’t be.

Well since my boxed copy of WoTLK didn’t arrive and likely never will I decided to buy a digital copy and get my account upgraded so I could enjoy the new expansion.

Firstly, there are 2 ways into Northrend. Myself and Azzuzu (Mike) went from Stormwind harbor to Valiance Keep, In the Borean Tundra. We started some questing there and leveled ourselves up, we even tried “The Nexus” A newbie instance there.

All in all everything is going well, the instances are horribly difficult, you really need to work hard to complete them and strategy is key, which is a good thing I suppose, while writing this I have been running Nexus again which has been boosted so it is even harder than it was before. We’re coming up to the end boss now so I will wait to finish this blog for that…..1 wipe at less than 25%, Done on the 2nd attempt. Wonderful!

Oh jeez I came back to this 8 hours later Umm *reads up*

Right, well we succeeded there and got some nice gear. All in all I can’t really fault WOTLK as a whole, there are some new additions, like vehicles, mammoths that carry 3 people and a vendor and all sorts of other cool stuff like that.

I also visited Dalaran, the new Shattrath, its beautiful, if you have a computer you should seriously check it out. Very cool

Well as you all know WOTLK  came our recently and I had it on pre-order. Of course, this being spain my order got stuck in customs and likely won’t ever get to me. So I have therefore purchased it online and will be playing it tomorrow as it is currently downloading. This is of course if my spanish internet doesn’t crap out like it has been this evening.

Anyway complaints aside, I’m not sure that I really should talk about my next topic, so I think I will omit that for now. Umm

A question you may be wondering: Do I plan these things?

If you have any reading skills you can probably tell that this is a resounding no and that all of my “good” bits or humor are made up entirely on the spot. In fact I’m not sure my humor comes across very well when it is written so I will attempt to make you laugh with the following. B=============D

I will be posting a first impressions on WoW:WOTLK in a day or 2 as I’m really excited and looking forward to it. I will probably include a few screenshots or interesting things depending on what I see and do. So until then I bid you all happy re-reading of my last posts.

Well it certainly made me harder, better, pretty damn fast, and not that strong.

Actually I posted this because I thought that was some pretty cool coordination there. I mean, they kept up with the song, only a few slight problems but really well done. Also I’d like to say, In before any comments about the state of dress of the performers. *rolleyes*

As a certain someone said they were going to watch this film, I decided that I would investigate it myself as I liked the first one and had no idea this one would be coming out. I was a little apprehensive at first and wondered if I was getting a little old to be watching animated movies about animals… Then I realized what a load of crap I was thinking and watched it anyway.

Well it started badly, the first copy I found was terrible and broken. I mean…the DVD I rented didn’t play in my player…*cough*.

I got that replaced and started it up, the opening title was in russian so I thought the worst then it started and english blared from my 7.1 and I rejoiced, anyway, back to the movie itself!

Madagascar 2 is obviously set after the first one when the 4 main characters and the penguins/monkeys leave madagascar with the idea of heading towards New York. Of course if that all worked out the movie would be a little over 20 minutes long, so you can guess that something happened to make the movie run for nearly an hour and a half.

Skip ahead after the plane crash they find themselves in Africa. (shocker eh? its in the title) where they find a lot of new friends (as you would expect) and the story really starts up.

I would carry on and give more away but there is a chance some of you may want to watch this so I will say that the next hour of the movie is well worth you watching it, it has some rather immature moments, but then again immature can also be funny, so consider that when deciding wether or not to watch it.

To cut a long story short and to make you want to watch there is love in the film, who? I don’t know you will have to watch it. Some get married too. I wondered just how it would…. you know… work… but then I realized that that line of thought was quite fucked up considering its a PG rated movie.

Also no sequel would be complete without the penguins doing something way beyond their abilities. 

So there we go, I hope there were not many spoilers.

I would say to go ahead and watch it, sit down with your family and watch it, as long as your family has younger members in it otherwise you might be regarded as a bit immature….

…Yes I watched it alone… …What?…

If you want a score out of 10 i’d probably give it somewhere near a 7/10, not that I really like that sort of score system anyway.

Well, its that time guys, WOTLK is out and of course I just had to go and order it. After getting through an amazingly easy Credit card verification site… (didnt exist) I have a copy in the mail coming to me.

Acording to UPS however the game has already been sent across the atlantic 3 times, back and forth, being rejected by customs each time. I don’t know what the deal is with spanish customs, i think they are .. oh they are spanish, they are fucktarded and havnt got a braincell between everyone working there. Its a game you dumbfucks, its such a small package, unless it was made of extremely light gold I’m not going to make enough money on it to make it worth you taxing me for it.

Of course I have already paid tax on it, and an outrageous delivery fee that was almost as much as the game itself, so I will be pretty pissed if they find more reasons to deny me. Seriously, they will not hear the end of it.

Apart from that, I’m well, not too annoyed and sort of static.

On a funny note: One of my clients decided a few days ago that I was too expensive and decided to move his NWN server to another person hosting it, a private individual. I had the honor of speaking to this new host and took an instant dislike to him and his horrible attitude, the funny point is, just yesterday my client contacted me and asked to come back as the new host was being quite mean. Haww Haww I thought, didn’t see that one coming at all. Anyway Hopefully he will come back soon, Unless he reads this somehow and it scares him away. Though he shouldnt be scared, i didn’t even say that his name was….. *grin*

Also on yet another WoW related note: I just flew to the plaugelands, the home of all new death knights, oh dear is all I have to say. Ganking and fighting and fighting and ganking all around. Fun!

Yes, I’m sure you have seen this before, but oh well, I thought about it today when I heard the original so I decided to watch it again. So here it is.

Also anyone notice that even though I wrote about O BA MA a while back he is still the top subject in my google ads? even though it was only mentioned once? God america really blows up the whole election thing.

Where the hell is everyone? Seriously. I mean I was up all day and all night… well I got up at 6… o.O anyway… lol

Where the hell is everybody? no one all day and it has just been quiet after quiet. Well Jeff came in for a bit but left reasonably shortly after, plus reds came and ruined my mining joy, so I then played WoW and watched the simpsons mindlessly until just a few minutes ago. I got 1 level or less in WoW and I feel it was a bit of a slow waste of my life in doing so.

Anyway I’m glad my life is a terribly wreck like it is now. Also tomorrow im sorting out my surround sound system which I have had incorrectly setup for 6+ months.

Woah, thats what my life has come down to? looking forward to mundane normal activities that would bore any normal person into insanity. Maybe I myself am insane, thats something to think about while I try and go to sleep while not being at all tired.

I’m sure however that I will wake up and find that it is somewhere in the afternoon and I have wasted another good 8-10 hours of my life in an unconscious state.

Also thinking back to today there was something pretty major that I was going to rant about and it pissed me off something terrible… But I just can’t recall it now.

So, Thanks again for reading and now to go and make it look like I have a semi-normal sleeping pattern!

p.s. For some reason I can hear a sound like it is raining outside, and it smells like rain, but I can’t see shit on my street as the government is obviously trying to save power or increase rape statistics by turning off the street lights after sundown, actually come to think of it I havnt seen on even on all week.

Well for 2 reasons, 3 reasons I am writing this.

Firstly, because Kelate is back and its good to have her.

Secondly, she said not to talk about her in my blogs, she is just awesome how can I not? Seriously…

And Thirdly, my idea of rejoining planeshift was smashed today and yesterday by the refusal of my next generation PC to bow down and be slowly digested by Planeshift’s poor technical design and engine flaws. I have also decided not to go ahead with the idea of restarting the planeshift guild for a number of reasons: I can’t get the game to stay on for more than 10 minutes without it Bluescreening on me, I don’t have enough time to play the 2 MMOs and that thing called “Lief” all in one lifetime, sadly. Thats it actually, I will however try and help out with the planeshift project some more, my servers will stay up and I will keep trying to get another server accepted, Though that seems doubtful

Anyway, It is late again and I should be in bed, sadly my clock is all scrwed up and I am really not that tired, my hand hurts from playing mercenaries 2, carpal tunnel… me thinks.
